Hill, McHardy & Herbst plays an active role in providing clients and correspondents with advice, comments, suggestions and solutions regarding legal matters.
Hill McHardy & Herbst is certified as BBBEE compliant level 2 and preferential procurement is applied by supporting and empowering small and medium business enterprises from previously disadvantaged communities.
The erstwhile law firm A. W. McHardy was found approximately 1907 and the erstwhile law firms G.A. Hill and W.P. Jeffreys were founded shortly thereafter. The above three law firms continued in practice separately until approximately 1965 when the firms A. W. McHardy and W. P. Jeffreys amalgamated, which amalgamated firm then amalgamated with the firm G.A. Hill on 1 March 1968, forming the present firm.
The present firm is therefore the successor to three erstwhile firms, with a history of law practice in Bloemfontein since 1907. The present firm's structure is indicated on our letterhead and the practice is conducted by an incorporated company, HILL McHARDY & HERBST INCORPORATED, with registration number 1994/004709/21.
